Hi everyone.
This topic is to stay on line from now until we decide if and how we are going to race again on the F1 2006 PS2 game.
Haven.t heard from anyone for some time..! I have also not had time to play the game...but I still want to expirement a few things with various "Stability Control" settings on Medium and Hard.....as explained earlier.
Feel free to join or chat.
Jonners...how about some Clean Lap times from you dude?? There is a topic for Clean Lap Comp where in you can post your times when you have time!
Looking forward to hear from you.....and any new blood out there!?!?
Keep racing! |

I think the interest has drifted away from this game. Its been a long time since any proper race has taken place. There was another comp going on but now its not going on much.
If there is a comp for PS3 F1, let me know.
Also if your looking to break some record times, I think BestF1Gamer has a thread somewhere where the clean lap times are posted by various racers. And those times are quite competitive. It could keep you occupied. ----- F105 Champion in Offline Championship League @ F1gamers.com F106 Runnerup in Offline Championship League @ F1gamers.com -----

Yea thanx for the chat F1 Gamer
Things are a bit quiet now. We actually had a proper competition this whole 09 F1 season. We started with 5 but ended with 3 or 4 racers...but still very exciting and enjoyable!
We also have our own lap time comp and a proper topic for that as well....2009 Clean Lap comp....I think..?!?...or maybe the only Clean Lap Topic...not sure..
Lets see what happens next!!
Have fun dude! |

Happy new year!!!
Sorry for the silence, but I was on wintersport and we had no internet, but I'm back home now. Sorry I didn't told I was on wintersport this last few weeks. I hope you have had a nice new year's eve. I'm ready to chat again and off course if there is some interest I will help with the build-up for a season with the F1 09 for the Wii. I will do the f1 06 too for sure.

Happy new year guys. I am more than happy to do this again this year. Had a good time in my battle with SASspeedster for second last season. It seems unlikely I will be getting rid of my ps2 this year so should be able to do the whole year again. www.jonners.org (for my blog) Lewis Hamilton's Number 1 fan (on F1 Gamers anyway)

Yea exactly my thoughs as well Jonners!! Provided that I have time for the rares...but as I said....I might be a bit late with my posts now and then....but would still like to race again..!!
I might consider PS3 towards the end of this year....but I have so many racing games for PS2....I must be able to still play them on PS3....and the PS3 that can do that is the smallest one..?!?!?!?!?
Have fun dudes!! |

Yeh, the newer PS3's have backwards compatibility turned off. I think this is because they are still selling PS2s though this seems dumb. If backwards compatibility was included in the slim then I would have gone Sony instead of Microsoft.
The ps2 still has the best software lineup of all time in my opinion.
Maybe we can tweak the rules as to when races have to be completed by. Possibly give people a month after a race has taken place to complete the distance. www.jonners.org (for my blog) Lewis Hamilton's Number 1 fan (on F1 Gamers anyway)

Yes....but if everyone post so late...then it becomes an admin nightmare to consolidate scores after every round....keep up with the build-ups.... and so on.....
Maybe we should not run our comp in line with the real life one. That way we can allow 3 or 4 weeks per race. But then again...it is nice to race in Bahrain if Hamilton & Schummie are also in Bahrain.
So maybe we should run on their schedule, but we have at least 3 weeks per race to finish that race and post...and also maybe we must allow that you race ahead of schedule (max of 2 races) as well......for those times that you do have time......so far this sounds good to me?! We can even leave a track or 2.....or we can say that from the 18 tracks only your best 16 will count for our comp.......which means everyone will have 2 throuh-aways....(a poor race...or do not have to race at all)
I would love the PS3 with the biggest hard drive...if I'm gonna spend that kind of money....but it will have to be backwards compatable.
Never stop racing!!! |

Hi!
This is the old Mclarenking08! I lost my password for my email and my account, so I have had to make a new one!
I am posting to say that I am going to be rejoining the championship for 2010! I have got a new memory card, so all my previous lap times have gone! Please could you remove them on the lap times thread?
I have been playing F1 09 for psp, but it hasn't been that great, but I decided to come back to this to give myself some competition, like last time!
I have an account on the codemasters f1 forum, so I am going to ask some of those if they would like to join this tournament!
About the rules; I liked the previous rules that you had when I played in 2009! I won't mind change but I wouldn't like to see a huge chance of rules! |

Glad you joined us again!!! Welcome back! Please get some more guys to join!!!
Listen everyone...I am going to be out of touch for 3 weeks.....so will not be able to chat untill early Feb.
I also like our rules so we should not change much......maybe our posting times or so....or that through-aways that I mention where only your best 16 will count.......plus I might play around with some Stability settings to see if I can maybe play on HARD....but with little stability...or something like that!!! i will gevie feedback ASAP
Happy practicing and never stop racing!!!

Sorry for the silence,
I've got some family matters who were a bit important, soo I totally forgot about the site. I will buy F1 2010 for XBOX 360 when it's there. Let's try some clean lap competition then, if there're enough players with that game. We should compare the results and look if it's possible to do it over again. It's not nice to do it with those handicaps again. I'm looking forward to it. Do you guyes want to do the PS2 competition again when the season starts. Maybe someonr who want to do it with the Wii??

Sorry I got rid of the wii game because I found it so poor in comparison to F1 06 in terms of handling.
Am looking forward to doing the season again with the rule alterations me and SAS were talking about earlier. www.jonners.org (for my blog) Lewis Hamilton's Number 1 fan (on F1 Gamers anyway)

Hi there
I am also back. Yes I agree. Lets look at the same comp than last year...maybe in line with the real season...but with those proposed amendments that I mentioned in an earlier post...(more time to post....one can race a few races (3 or so) ahead of schedule...plus only your best 16 races of the 18 should count for your final score!!...which means you can effectively miss 2 races...
I have played a bit on Hard with Medium Stability....and I like it better...(as I constantly mentioned that I did not like the unpredicted and sometimes unrealistic unstable car)......but the lap times on HARD are very difficult for me and am almost never going to get Pole...!? Even in the race I will probably fight for anything from 1st to 8th place.....even if I make less mistakes...
I will make a final decision ASAP. Not sure of some of you want to try it as well.....no one likes a boring race.....?!?!?
M-boy....maybe you should then get less points for a win than us.....but then still race in the car of your choice....without handicaps.....except for your time penalties that should remain since you are so good with this game.........maybe 6 points for a win.....and 4, 3, 2, 1 from there...? That way over the entire season you will still be competative in score at the end....since the 2nd and 3rd place will almost definately rotate amongst me and the others....which will keep your score amongst ours!!
Think about it dude!!! What does the other racers think about the scores....and the rules....and Medium vs Hard??
Have fun!....I await some feedback plse? |
