Ferrari could pay a huge amount of money for Jenson, but sadly he's gone to Williams. I don't understand why he wanted to sign last year. There's not much point staying at BAR either, because he's never ever gonna win a race with them. I really hope Ferrari shell out megabucks but it's never gonna happen.

Bob Varsha said, on "Wind Tunnel" on SPEEDTV, that he is hearing a rumor where DC goes to Ferrari in 2006 on a one year contract. At the end of 2006, DC and Schumacher would leave Ferrari and Kimi Raikkonen would be the new #1 driver.

This is assuming, of course, that Schumacher won't retire and Rubens really is leaving for BAR.

Ferrari can't gamble on being able to sign Kimi - if McLaren keeps staying strong there will be no reason for him to switch teams. I.e. - Ferrari needs at least one young talented driver besides Michael for next season, and that driver looks to be Massa. Having two old drivers that are about to quit racing would accomplish nothing for the future.

Go Kimi!

I wouldn't be surprised if Rubens gets treated like JPM did at Williams last year, when he felt like he was being left in the dark about technical developments. Given that Williams was this concerned about letting details leak to a competitor, I'm sure Ferrari would be even more furtive in their actions.

By the way... Rubbins was not pushed. He asked to leave so ferrari had to fill his position. BAR will be anouncing Rubbins as a replacment driver for Sato very soon.

Bob Varsha although my favorite racing commentator of all time, seems to be slipping a little bit as of late.

Why on Earth would he assume Coulthard is going to Ferrari in 2006 when he signed a deal with Red Bull a month ago?

In any case Massa is now contracted scarlet fever and I wish him the best. Rubens is off to Honda which I am very happy to see. Jenson will be forced to honor his agreement and trounce Webber.

As for Hiedfeld, he should get Massa's role at BMW. So it looks like all the top teams have there own young guns at their teams.

The new generation of F1

Ferrari / Massa
McLaren/ Kimi
Renault/ Alonso
Williams/ Button
